About: Who is Ren?

Candace Ren Burnham is a citizen diplomat-at-large based in New York City.  With a Bachelors degree in music (2004, Berklee College of Music) and a Masters degree in education (2006, Suffolk University), she entered the University of Southern California’s Master of Public Diplomacy program in 2009 to build on her passion for global engagement, strategic communication and cultural exchange.  In 2010, Candace interned with the Department of State in the Public Affairs Section of the U.S. Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, and from 2010-2011 she was a Department of State (Bureau of Public Affairs) Foreign Affairs Campus Coordinator and a contributing researcher at the Center on Public Diplomacy.  Since graduating from USC in 2011, she continues to win hearts and minds, this time for the British government.
